Description of non-trade electives
PTEC has only a small number of electives that we can provide at this time due to limited staff availability. Please know that this list will grow and change from year to year.
- Work Ethic – a character class, paired with a physical fitness component
- Drafting – a class designed to teach the basics and fundamentals of drafting using paper and pencil
- Horticulture – a class that will teach students how to tend to plants and gardens
- Zoology – a class that will dive into the world of animal care that will take on a FourH type focus
- Study Hall – students will be given the time to study, work on current or missing classwork
- Digital Literacy – this class teaches students how to use many Windows programs as well as internet safety and a student’s on-line responsibility
- Automotive – this class teaches the basics of automotive care and maintenance
